Additionally, we are proud to be MEDIBANK PRIVATE providers. Being a MEDIBANK PRIVATE provider means that we have established a partnership with MEDIBANK PRIVATE health insurance, enabling eligible members to access their benefits when receiving podiatric treatment at our clinic.

Changes to the Medicare Bulk Billing System

At Penguin Podiatry, we operate as a mixed billing practice. If you hold a Care Plan from your GP, it's important to note that we do not bulk bill for these services. Instead, there is an upfront payment required for the consultation. After your visit, you will receive a reimbursement of the consultation fee from Medicare. The reimbursement amount will depend on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) item number associated with the specific podiatric service provided. The reimbursement is done electronically on the spot at your consult for you.
